Spontaneous inspiration leads to moments of creation, melodies and rhythms spun from a web of hardware, melodic improvisations and a solid groove.
The journey into production started with Claire’s move to Montreal in 2008, and deepened when she received her first synthesizer as a birthday gift in 2011. A bit of a gear junkie, Claire has an ever-expanding mini-arsenal of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, and drum machines. She prefers to carve her sounds out with hardware, as the process feels more natural and tactile for her than working with a computer. It feels easier to play. She has several EPs on vinyl and has released on labels like Conceptual, Monoclap, Hushlamb, and Archipel.
